Stuck on 'under review'
Waiting is part of it, but you can wait smartly.
Stuck? Skip the letters and send your case to people who do this every day.
We'll handle it for youAfter you appeal or complete a selfie check, Instagram and Facebook show "We're reviewing your account" or "Your appeal is under review." Your case is queued for a decision. Nothing you do in the app will move it faster.
Do
- Check once a day
- Watch your email, including the spam folder, for messages from Meta's real domains
- Keep your phone number and email working
Don't
- Resubmit the selfie or appeal over and over
- Log in from new devices or a VPN
- Answer "Meta support" DMs offering to speed it up. That's a scam.
When it's taking too long
Set a date. If it passes, send a polite follow-up through any support channel you have. If that goes nowhere, move up the escalation ladder. UnbanPro has a page on accounts stuck under review.
Questions people ask
Can I use my account during review?
No. It stays locked until the decision.
Does under review mean it'll be restored?
It means a decision hasn't been made yet. It can go either way.
